When I first started my journey to understand and learn pay per click (ppc) advertising I was really amped. Then I found out there were other free and powerful marketing methods like search engine optimization (SEO) and jumped in head first.

What can I say, I liked the price!

I kept pay per click in the back of my mind and never seemed to take the time to get the hang of it. I also must admit that wasn’t excited about the expensive learning curve it could be.

Since time is money… All the money (time) I was investing in writing articles, blogs, forum posts and websites were getting pretty expensive to keep up with.

The I got a kick in the pants from this crazy man named Mike Dillard that really got me thinking.

A Strange Thing Happened On The Way To My Back Office

There I was logged in to grab my Magnetic Sponsoring affiliate link and I see this new shiny banner.

Unfazed and determined to stay focus, I ignored it and went to finish my post.

As soon as I was done, I got the email announcing the launch of a new PPC training product from the PPC guru of magnetic sponsoring Jim Yaghi (www.mlmtrafficjam.com) affectionately called PPC domination .

I still ignored it and logged into the better networker forums to see if there was any buzz about it there and of course there was a new banner ad and…

A New Email From Mike Dillard

This is what it said:
If you didn’t get the news yesterday, we’re finally releasing "PPC Domination" on Monday at 12:00 Noon Central.

And as I write that, I can’t help but wonder why should you give a damn…

After all, we’re just talking about pay-per-click advertising.

It’s a medium that’s been around a few years now, and there are plenty of great courses on the subject, so what’s the big deal? Why should you be stoked with the anticipation of it’s arrival?

Well I think I see it a little differently because I know from personal experience that learning PPC is one of those rare, game-changing skills that can sets people like you, free.

Why?

Because it’s the only advertising method in the world that gives you complete control.

You control how much your leads cost.

You control the quality of your leads.

You control the amount of leads you want each day.

You control the message they read.

PPC is the only marketing method out there that gives you complete power over the amount of money you make, and the number of people you can sponsor.

I’m passionate about this subject because I see so many people dropping the ball, and getting distracted by shiny new toys like social media.

YES… I’m getting into social media in a BIG way. In fact, I just hired two full-time employees to map out and implement a huge campaign this year.

Sites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube serve the very important purpose of humanizing you in an impersonal world. These tools are for making friends, building social equity, and building your reputation.

Their primary purpose is NOT for generating targeted leads on a daily basis, and they are NOT for making money in a consistent, direct, focused manner.

You don’t have control over the growth, amount, or quality of traffic you can get.

You can’t outsource your personality when you want to take a vacation or retire. You can’t split-test, you can’t target, and you can’t increase your results at the click of a mouse, and if you cannot do these things, you do not have a business!!!

If you don’t have complete control over your ability to generate traffic and leads, your business is out of control, and I’ll bet you probably feel like that often.

I see people spending 3 to 5 hours every single day posting articles, videos, and comments on social media sites HOPING someone will take an interest in their offer, click on their link, view their presentation, call them, and sign up.

It’s like their strategy is…

"Hey, I’m ‘being your friend’, paying attention to you, writing on your wall, and sending you cool stuff so you’ll notice me. Now buy something or join my downline so I can quit my job!"

And in the end, they’re left feeling exhausted, frustrated, and betrayed that all of their time and effort wasn’t rewarded.

That’s exactly why the only source of traffic I use when I’m out to make money or build a downline is PPC.

That’s exactly why PPC is the ONLY skill I tell people to learn when they’re starting their business for the first time…
