Do You Treat Your Leads Like People Too?
Whenever I get questions like: "Where Can I ‘Find’ The Best Leads " or "How can I ‘Get’ More Leads " I think to my , "Who is this person?"
Not who as in like name, age, height etc. but who as in their mindset. Just review the question again and you can see how interchangeable and almost unimportant the word lead is… but, leads are people too and therefore are unique individuals.
The other thing that strikes me as odd is the use of hunting words: find and get . These words convey someone who is desperate and/or needy… not someone who has your best interest in mind.
leads are not objects or things just hanging out waiting to be ‘gotten’ or ‘found’.They are crawling all over the internet, on social networks and forums, even newspaper and magazines looking to satisfy a need, solve a problem and accomplish something specific.
The Question Is Are You The Type of Person They Are Looking for?
Either way, so not to argue semantics, if you have been pondering this question yourself this is what you really want to know: How do I attract a steady stream of eager to learn, ready to buy raving fans ?
Understand this betternetworkers, the skill to attract is far more subtle and powerful than the skill to get . And ‘raving fans’ are people who derive mutual benefit from interactions with you and gladly refer there friends
You have to give your potential customers and prospects good reason to become a ‘lead’ in the first place but only your raving fans will actually become customers and repeat consumers. This is achieved by giving your audience a chance to get to know, like and trust you as their solution provider.
People that desire whatever it is that you are selling will come out the wood works, wallets in hand for products and services that meet their needs. They want to feel empowered and unbiasedly informed by your message that got them to come to you in the first place… and they do not want to feel like they’ve been ‘found’ or ‘gotten’.
I understand that most people who ask the questions in the first paragraph of this post are most likely unfamiliar with attraction marketing , where customers and clients seek you out instead of the other way around.
But, if you just remember that leads are people too and they need to be respected that marketing method will be a breeze for you to understand an implement.
You just focus on providing as much information a potential customer needs to make an informed decision about what ever it is that you are selling and you will be able to ‘find’ all the ‘leads’ you can ‘get’ right in your inbox, voice mail and instant messenger
.
To raving fans,
Malika Duke
