She Just Launched a Jewelry Home Party Business, and Needs Your Advice!

Hi there,
I just launched a new home party jewelry company about 6 months ago. I had a great response and currently have 10 reps all over the country. We are giving our founding reps a great commission schedule, incentives for free products and awards.
I am very focused on getting more reps on board by advertising in various home party web sites, social networking and I am distributing a press release etc.
Could you recommend some ideas on how to get the word out about this new company and what is the best way to get people to sign up as a consultant? I have gotten many leads but it is very difficult to get people to follow through.
Thanks, I really appreciate your advice.

Jill,
You said: "I have gotten many leads but it is very difficult to get people to follow through" .
What it means: Your "advertising" and marketing is too general and your sorting process can do with a tune up.
Solution: You must tap into the mindset of the type of woman you are seeking. Who is she, what does she know? What would make her look for a business to start. Why would she want to sell jewelry?
Then create ALL of your marketing and advertising to only talk to her. You will get less susupects yet more highly qualified prospects.
I noticed you are using a replicated company website which means that you will not get any natural traffic from the search engines going to it. This will cause your to have to work harder for traffic and are helpless to improve anything on your site that maybe turning your best prospects OFF.
I suggest you create your own website or have one built for you to better form a real relationship with your potential team members before they join your business. This would allow you more control over prequalifying prospects before you ever speak to them.
Press releases, article submission etc. is all wonderful lead generators but they are waisted on a site you don’t actually own (meaning: you can’t improve upon, tweak it or modify it to your taste).
I’ve written an article that will explain further: http://www.savvybusinessmom.com/lead-generation/getting-started-wit…
