The Day My Truck Blew Up!
Wow, I just love this time of year! The holidays make for special moments with family and friends, just 2 weeks ago it was Thanksgiving ( you don’t still have turkey in your fridge do you?) and about 2-3 weeks from now are other year end celebrations to enjoy.
However, amidst all the festivities there’s work to do, business must go on and trucks, well, they can just up and blow one day! And that’s just what happened to mine on Wednesday of last week. The pictures and video is below:
Thankfully, me and all three kids made it out before the completely burst into flames. We’re thankful also were pulling up at home instead of at the grocer as I had originally intended.
And, we weren’t waiting out in the cold for help as it had snow flurried that morning. Later the next day started losing my voice due to the change in weather. I still had commitments to my Magnetize Your Message students and other clients so didn’t let my throat rest as I should.
Friday night I burnt myself with boiling rice and water over 6 inches on my stomach… Sunday night was my throats pay back for a late night of smack-talking, hootin’ and hollerin’ while playing a card game called spades. I was hack coughing all night as my husband Adam slept like a baby… Green tea, lime and honey saved my life!
Only to find out on Monday my website and (one of my clients) was down due to a technical glitch while transferring hosting servers. The last 6 days have been perfect reasons (excuses) to take take time off to deal with the minutia of whats going on around me.

However, I’ve disciplined myself over time to stay focus on my commitments to myself, my family and my business. In that same 7 days I’ve wrapped up a major website update to serve you better. I’ve created 4 new services that help you attract more leads faster than ever with spoon fed information, ‘hand holding’ when you need it… and a kick in the rear when you need that too (we ALL do at times).
I’ve helped several new clients through their new “magnetized” way of presenting their business to prospects in live groups (they’ve had break through moments I’d love to share).
AND, I finally got my husband to narrow his niche down for a new website of his own which helps apartment hunter in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area find apartments that they not only love but can actually qualify for (BIG problem in his industry).
Sure, it helps a ton that I don’t have to report to a boss, worry about having enough “paid time off” for personal days, sick days and holidays too. But, I haven’t always been this way and, unfortunately, I don’t always put it into practice (what can i say, I’m savvy not perfect).
It all comes down to that old cliche: Where there’s a [mastermind]… there’s a way!
