Invest More Time on the “Spam Check” Then the Spell Check
Many home based based business owners who are well intending and often new to Internet marketing forget to do the spam check on their emails before sending it out.
I’ve realized it largely because they don’t even know that the message is spam. The don’t see the chasm between pitching your self-serving deal and adding value.
If you are engaging in activities just for the sake of getting your links out there and getting eyeballs to see your sales pages, then you have a long hard job ahead of you.
So, I hope you’ve got deep pockets and unlimited time on your hands. That’s the strategy the car companies that we’re bailing out today, used years ago and look where it got them.
You think you’re just sending out a harmless general email blast notifying your social network friends of the latest sale or update on your blog.
But, if it’s self-serving and its unsolicited, it’s spam. So don’t send it.
"Yes" To A Friend Request Doesn’t Mean "Yes" to Business Solicitations
Some argue that if you are on a marketing site then everyone should expect to be pitched.
That’s like saying that everyone in a bar should expect to be hit on because everyone is looking for a date.
What kind of poop-brained thinking is that?
You don’t have to be shoving your business up in everyone’s face everywhere you go. The same way you don’t have to go pinching rear ends in a bar.
Is There A More Effective Strategy?
Send out messages educating a specific audience on how you can help solve a specific issue and/or "scratch a specialty itch".
Sending blanket sales messages just invites " broke" browsers to your site, gets your email deleted, and your profile "un-friended".
Attract with stimulating conversation about a subject related to your business.
If you sell diaper cakes, don’t tell me when the next sale or give away is… Instead, educate me on why diaper cakes make great gifts. Or show me cute ideas for recycling the left-over diapers.
One approach shuts the conversation down, while the other opens up the lines of communication and increases the chance your message will be forwarded to a friend if it’s entertaining, educational, or enlightening…
You’ll rarely, if ever, get your "on sale" pitch forwarded without some type of bribe. Besides, what reputation do you want to build for yourself? That of a "sales pitcher" or a resource provider .

I looked at your site (found by Google for “Free outbound spam checking”) but could not see where there was a place to find the subject therein.
Do you know of a simple program for checking an outbound letter to detgermine how “spammy” it is so ti can be corrected before sending it?
Your help will be appreciated.
ThanX
Pete
